I’ve always maintained a good skin care routine, before I wear make-up, taking off and when I’m not wearing any make-up. However, since my acne I’ve been more into my skin care (click here to read my ACNE JOURNEY)

My Current Skin Care Routine

STEP 1:

I use a facial wash from SK:N Clinic, ‘Cleanse & Exfoliate’. I started using this about a year ago and I love it. It work so well! It’s a clear gel, has no scent to it and has a small amount foam. It contains Glycol Acid, Salicylic Acid, Evening Primrose Oil and AHA/BHA’s. These are all great for acne prone skin as it helps remove any dirt and make-up for oily skin. It’s super gentle and when my skin is sore it doesn’t effect it. You can also use it on the body.

I use it daily. It says day and night but I use it 3 times. Morning, after gym and Night before bed.

STEP 2:

I apply this Aknicare cream which I also started using a year ago and it has helped my acne prone skin so much! It’s a white gel, lightweight, dries quick and works wonders for acne!

STEP 3:

This is fairly new to my routine but I love it. Bare Minerals ‘Blemish Ready’ Serum, comes as a drop and you only need 3-4 drops for the face and massage in. Dries quick and super light! Helps control oil.

STEP 4:

This is also very new to my routine, I started using this for about a month now since I’ve started my Accutane treatment. It’s the  bareMinerals TRUE OASIS Oil-Free Replenishing Gel Cream – I LOVE THIS. It’s my new favorite moisturiser! The reason why i love it is because it is a gel moisturiser which means it is water based rather than oil. This is great for oily and acne prone skin. It gives the perfect amount of hydration and does not leave me oily or break out!

 

Once – Twice a week I steam my face and then I use a face mask. I use the GlamGlow SuperMud Face mask which helps clear the skin out, great for oily and acne prone skin!

 

Note: I don’t use a toner, but I recently got the Dr Haushuka Clarifying Toner and I HATE IT! I absolutely hate the smell to the point it makes gag! My nose is quite sensitive to smells so I prefer to have no smell on the products.
